Each three-part lesson, complete with historical images, is divided into small, manageable, daily mini-lessons. Skill-based reading and writing exercises follow each mini-lesson and are designed to help students understand what they have read and retain key historical information. Each lesson uses short, easy-to-read sentences, a lower 4th-5th grade reading level, simple vocabulary, and repetition/review. In addition, a words-to-know section helps students get familiar with any challenging vocabulary that may be found in a story.
This chapter slice also includes an in-depth teacher guide, people and places, enrichment ideas, and answer key. This is the fourth chapter-slice from our larger book.
